Here is a nice group of Black Bears made by a variety of companies. We have bears from Ganz, the Stuffed Animal House, Slifka Sales, Russ Berrie, and Wild Republic. You can find some of these bears shown above in our Gift Shop.

The first four bears on the right are Ty Beanie Babies. Their names are, from left: Almond, Cubbie, Pecan and Blackie. The bear at far right is from the Coca-Cola International Bean Bag collection. He is Barris the Brown Bear from Russia.
Black bears live in forests, swamps and mountains. They are about 5 feet long. They are omnivorous, which means they will eat both meat and vegetation. Bears hibernate during the winter. Cubs are born around the end of January.
