Wire-haired Fox Terriers were originally developed in the British Isles. They were little hunting dogs used to pursue foxes, rats and other small mammals. They are alert, active and very strong for their size. Their antics are cute and comical. They are friendly and fearless, good with children.
The Wire-haired Fox Terrier shown is made by Ganz and is one of their Heritage Pets. It is tagged as a Airedale Terrier, but the colors are not typical for an Airedale and this dog looks more like a Wire-haired Fox Terrier.
