Jeannie's Cottage LLC uses USPS (United States Postal Service) for shipping to our customers. For shipments that are heavy, we use FedEx Ground at our discretion. Shipping rates are calculated by delivery location, items being purchased & the weight of the package. You can get a shipping estimate for your purchase by clicking on the Get Shipping Estimate button in the Shopping Cart. Just type in your Country and Zip Code. We do not ship to all countries.
We generally process and ship orders the same or next business day. We will expedite your order if you have chosen a faster shipping service. If there is going to be a delay with your order we will contact you via email to explain.
The following are general shipping transit times for US residents after the order ships:
USPS First Class - Approximately 2-7 Days (depends on delivery location)
USPS Priority Mail - Approximately 1-4 Days
USPS Express Mail - Approximately 2-3 Days
Special Note about shipping times:
US Postal Service - Delivers Monday through Saturday (not Sunday or Holidays)
* Exceptions for USPS Priority Mail are APO, FPO, Puerto Rico & US Territories, These times can take anywhere from 4 - 14 days and sometimes longer.
Please note that circumstances do arise that are beyond our control. For instance extreme weather conditions, lost or misrouted packages due to USPS, as well as credit card authorization problems. In these rare situations, the delivery time can be delayed and expected shipping times are not guaranteed. We do everything within our control to expedite every order.
The Following are Approximate Transit Times for International Customers:
- First Class Shipping (Canada Residents) 4 - 10 days
- First Class Shipping (all other international residents) 5 - 15 days
- Priority & Express Shipping (Canadian Residents) 3 - 6 days
- Priority & Express Shipping (UK, & Ireland Residents) 6 - 11 days
- Priority & Express Shipping (Japan, Australia & all others) 7 - 14 days
Shipping Rates for international customers vary extremely depending on delivery location, size of package, number of items & price of the order. The General delay for international shipments are International Customs from your country. Please note that the customer is responsible for any duties & taxes are imposed by your country at your country's border, this is an importing fee that most countries charge.
Custom fees are very common especially when ordering from the UK & Canada. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary from country to country. For more information we suggest that you contact your local customs office before ordering.
(If a package is stopped in customs it may be a longer delay for delivery).
Sales Tax, Duties, Currency & Non-Deliverable orders:
All Washington State residents are charged 8.6% state sales tax.
International customers are responsible for any additional customs duties or charges applied at the time of delivery by International Customs.
All dollar amounts are in US currency. Your credit card company will give you the best rate of exchange at the time of purchase. Please note we do not accept any foreign check or money orders. All check and money orders are to be in US Currency
Return Policy & Cancellations
Standard Return: We want you to be completely satisfied. We can take your return within 14 days of the receipt date of the product. Please note shipping charges that we paid to mail the order can not be refunded, we can only refund actual price of the item returned less any shipping charges. You will be credited back the exact way you paid, and to the same credit card. Your return must be in NEW, SEALED or UN-OPENED Condition and exactly the way it was sent to you. (Exceptions: individually secret coded items for online use may not be returnable (Webkinz products).)
Incorrect Item Sent Return: We make every effort to make sure your order is exactly correct, In the event a wrong item was shipped we will exchange it for you. The item must be sent back to us for an exchange for the correct item. Any shipping charges will be reimbursed by Jeannie's Cottage LLC for returns that are due to our mistaken items (credits are posted within 7 days of our receipt). Please contact us via email within 48 hours if there is a mistake with your order, so we can provide you with exchange/return options and authorize the return of your exchange (We will only credit shipping that we authorized). The easiest way to return the item is by USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail.
Damaged Item Return: We will accept returns if an item was damaged during shipping. Any item(s) returned must be returned with original invoice and original box (or packing material). In the event of a damaged item we will exchange it for a different one. If a different one is not available we will refund your money. Refunds will be at the discretion of Jeannie's Cottage LLC. We reserve the right to reject any refund if an item was damaged intentionally or if a different item was returned. Shipping can be credited back on an exchange if prior arrangements are made with customer service.
Refused or Late Returned Orders: Any shipments or items that are refused or sent back after the 14 day return date, can be subject up to a 20% re-stocking fee (Or a refund for the current price of the item, whichever is lower) . Shipping will not be credited. We will also not credit for damage or opened merchandise by the customer.

Orders that are not deliverable due to incorrect addresses may be shipped again after the correct address is provided. If your order comes back to us we will contact you first to see if you would like it shipped again or refunded. If you want it reshipped, we will need to have your credit card data so we can charge for the additional shipping charge to reship the item.
Orders may be cancelled as long as they have not been processed, usually the same business day. Please contact us via email to cancel an order. We will let you know if your order has been processed, shipped or successfully canceled. If you want to cancel an order which has been processed, the above information regarding returns applies.
Jeannie's Cottage LLC reserves the right to void or cancel any order if we find any security risks or fraudulent credit card charges are involved.
Back-Order & Out of Stock Items:
While we make every effort to keep our Inventory up to date we do run into certain circumstances where an item gets over sold or mis-counted. In the event your order contains an item or larger quantity than we have available we will notify you to see if you want the item refunded or back-ordered to ship at a later date.
